Gentleness

Week 30

Gentleness

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Message for the week of July 26, 2020, thru Aug. 1, 2020

This is a repeat message from earlier this year with some extra added goodies from the first week of April.  WOW, that seems so long ago.

Gentleness requires inner strength and compassion. The ability to be gentle and strong is a Divine combination. Allow your heart to be loving, tender, and caring to increase your level of joy. Be gentle with yourself, beloved, as well as all those with whom you come in contact.

The invitation from the Angels for this week is to treat yourself with extra love and compassion. Treat yourself as a beloved, for indeed, you are.

Did you know that my friend Becky and I have a venture called Well-Being and Wonder? Our mission is to promote Living Life Better through peace, love, joy, and ease.

Last October we produced our Words of Wisdom (WOW) Guidance cards and each Wednesday we share a message which was Gentleness and this week’s message from the Angels is Gentleness. You can’t make this stuff up.  Our message on our Gentleness WOW card is Soft Waves of Compassion Wash Over Me.

I’m sharing the message that Becky wrote at the angels urging because someone needs to hear it now.  Maybe that someone is you, dear heart?! She writes “In these challenging and uncertain times, gentleness may actually be an act of rebellion.”

Gentleness

Soft waves of compassion wash over me.

Definition: quality of being kind, tender or mild-mannered

Other: considerate, understanding, good-natured

 Opposite: strong, brutal, indifference, cruelty

Gentleness generates peace and calm.

Gentleness 1.jpg

It is not volatile or abrupt in its response to the world.

One who is gentle strives to be harmless, to not force or hurt others.

Gentle people use their gentleness as a cloak of purpose, aware of the needs of people around them.

It can be a feeling of shelter in the storm.

In these challenging and uncertain times, gentleness may actually be an act of rebellion. It is a time to acknowledge the pain of others and care with a non-judgmental, accepting heart. Human connection is what fosters gentleness. The truth of what is being felt by each of us cannot be denied. Pretending we are not scared, mad, or sad will not make it disappear.

However, if we do not respond immediately, but stop and take a step back, so we can ground our thoughts and feelings, we can take a tender approach towards the world and all that is going on.

Gentleness consists of being considerate, understanding, and presenting a calm demeanor. Being clear-minded with your intention can show empathy and concern for the suffering and misfortune of others. Often we don’t know all the details that lead to the difficult times for those around us, but at this time we can turn on the news and see it 24/7 blasting away at our peace and hope.

Gentleness toward others and even ourselves is another way to show love and may result in making changes toward a better world.

“Gentleness is the antidote to cruelty.” -  Phaedrus

Be gentle with yourself and others, dear heart, as we are all experiencing unprecedented times.

How can you be gentle with yourself this week, dear heart?

Blessings of love, joy, and peace,

Love,

Janette

Mercy : Card of the Week Message - Love Notes from The Divine Inspirational Card Deck

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week for July 19 -25, 2020

AA Card of the Week (24).jpg

Mercy

“Beloved, you are a perfect child of the Divine. God’s mercy endures forever.”

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Message for the week of July 19 - 25, 2020

The angels are inviting us to consider having more mercy and compassion for ourselves and others this week. We have all been experiencing so much during these past few months and are all struggling at a certain level. Some of us, much more than others.

How can you show yourself mercy and compassion?  First, remember that you are a precious Child of the Divine, recall your lineage, and know that you are loved unconditionally always (even when we don’t feel worthy or deserving of such Divine Love.)

We are all human and make mistakes, don’t beat yourself up about the things you did or didn’t do. Begin again, start anew, right now, and shower yourself with loving compassion. You don’t need to punish yourself any longer, dear heart.

How can we show love and compassion to others?  By using the same love and compassion we want to be extended to us and by remembering that others are also human and make mistakes and to allow them grace just as we want to be given the benefit of the doubt in any given situation.

Another way to show love, mercy, and compassion towards others is to release control of the situation and detach from the outcome. Granted, this is much easier said than done but does get easier with practice and when we’ve been taking proper self-care measures such as getting enough sleep, hydrating, filling ourselves up with positive content, and people who benefit instead of draining us.

Remember, we all have at least two guardian angels who are with us our entire lives and are ready, willing, and able to assist us in any situation but await your request since we have free will over our lives. A simple request mentally or out loud and your beloved angelic team is there, they are only a breath away.

They always shower us with love, mercy, and compassion. They show us how it’s done.

Wishing you a beautiful week of love, joy, and peace.

Love,

Janette

Serenity: Card of the Week Message - Love Notes from The Divine Inspirational Card Deck

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week for July 12-18, 2020

AA Card of the Week (36).jpg

Serenity

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” message for the week of July 12 – 18, 2020.

“All of the peace of God’s wisdom is available to you today, dear one.  Ask and ye shall receive.”

Peace and serenity are interchangeable in our message today, dear one.  Your invitation is to snuggle into a place of serenity and rest in the knowledge that you are loved, protected, and supported every step of the way.

A ready way to experience more peace and serenity is to enjoy the gift of a few big, deep beautiful breaths.  This can be done anytime, and anywhere during your day.  This influx of oxygen nourishes each and every cell in your precious body quickly.

A part of asking for assistance is to allow it to happen.  Sometimes we resist the way the help comes to us because it doesn’t look the way we expected.  Let’s be open to assistance.

Serenity is my focus word for July so I’m on the lookout for it.  I have embraced serenity by scheduling some time off to recharge and replenish.  Self-care is always a great idea.  You too may want to consider a serenity day or two in your near future.

Yes, dear one, blessings of peace and serenity to you as you navigate your day.

Love,

Janette

Ease: Card of the Week Message - Love Notes from The Divine Inspirational Card Deck

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week for July 5 - 11, 2020

AA Card of the Week (6).jpg

Ease

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” message for the week of July 5 – 11, 2020

“Relax into a state of complete ease where you allow life’s goodness to flow to and through you.  Release all resistance.  Ask your angels to assist you and they will gladly do so.“

Ease is not always easy.  Sometimes ease takes tremendous dedication, effort, and planning.  Ease is a form of self-care allowing your mind, body, and spirit to reset and have time to nourish and replenish ourselves due to our normal frenetic pace.

Looking at this image suggests ease but it takes a lot of planning and preparation to be able to get to a location such as this.  You may need to plan to take time off from work, make arrangements for travel, pet care, accommodations, and such.  You may need to finish a project first or find a way to get it done.

Sometimes it is difficult for us to allow ourselves this time to “take it easy” and relax.

Today, dear heart, your invitation is to allow yourself to experience the gift of ease.  You can begin with a short period of time and work your way up from there.

Remember, self-care is not selfish.  It is a way to honor The Divine for the glorious gift of your life.

How can you build some ease into your life today?

Want more connection with the angels? I have a free, Facebook Group, Angel Circle of Gratitude you may want to check out. Each Tuesday at 10 a.m. Pacific/1 p.m. Eastern join for a lovefest with the angels.

Blessings of love, joy, and peace with a slice of ease on the side,

Love,

Bravery: Card of the Week Message - Love Notes from The Divine Inspirational Card Deck

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week for June 28, 2020 - July 4, 2020

We are being nudged to embrace bravery this week. It’s easier to be brave knowing we are not alone.

We are being nudged to embrace bravery this week. It’s easier to be brave knowing we are not alone.

Bravery

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week message for June 28, 2020 - July 4, 2020.

This loving message is for your Braveheart.  Yes, you!

“We each have at least two guardian angels with us always.  A host of Heavenly helpers are available if you seek them.  All you need to do is ask for their assistance.  Take a brave baby step today, beloved.”

We have all been nudged to be brave lately, dear heart.  Being brave takes lots of energy, so make sure you are getting the rest you need, proper nutrition and hydration for starters.

Here’s a section from my “On a Path of Joy” book Volume Two, Day 18,  about bravery.  This seems perfect for the week as we are asked to embrace bravery.

It is easier to be brave knowing that we are a beloved of the Divine.  We are loved, we are safe and we are protected.  It is also easier to take one brave baby step at a time knowing your angelic support team is there.  What brave baby step can you take today knowing you are a beloved?

Today, you are invited to venture out to the edge, to that line you have been afraid to cross but know in your heart of hearts that where you want to be is on the other side of that line

As you stand with your toes on that line, may you call upon your Creator and your angelic team to help guide you forward one brave baby step at a time.

Here’s to the brave-heart inside of you, inching you to move forward.  You can repeat this affirmation to yourself as often as you need to today.  “Today I am brave.”  And so it is.

Blessings of love, joy, and peace.
Love,
Janette

Self-Care and Where’s my Internal Low Power Warning Sign?

Spending time in nature is a great self-care practice.

Spending time in nature is a great self-care practice.

Do you ever notice how your laptop or phone has that cute little battery icon, and it shows you how much power you have left before you need to recharge or plug into the Source of electricity?  Do you wish you had a similar feature that reminded you to take care of or self-care measures to plugin before your power fails?

Today, consider this article as your reminder to keep an eye out for your internal warning system that is trying to get your attention before you crash due to a lack of power.

So, when my laptop is running low on power, I notice the backdrop light gets dimmer, and then the low battery warning message comes on and tells me to plug into the Source.  That is a great reminder.

Using the metaphor of our electronics as our precious bodies, we don’t want to suffer a complete loss of power, lose data, or become unable to function.  The sad truth is that many of us take better care of our phones than our precious selves.

I don’t want my light to dim or my power to fail so that I cannot function.  I want to be aware of subtle signs that my power (energy) is waning.  Below are six internal low power warning signs.

Some of these internal warning signs are:

1.      Crankiness

2.      Exhaustion

3.      Loss of humor or joy

4.      Overwhelm

5.      Defeat

6.      Making poor choices

So how do we plugin or fill our batteries to function at full power?  Self-care is the answer.  Take time to love, nurture, and fill yourself so that you are better able to navigate your responsibilities.

Think of yourself as a precious vessel.  What you fill yourself up with is what is going to come out.  A container of olive oil produces olive oil.  A vessel filled with milk produces milk.  What are you filling yourself up with, dear heart?  Consider what food, internal dialogue, people we are spending time with, the content we are reading, listening to, or watching.

Just like the pre-flight announcement states, “In the event of a drop in pressure, the oxygen masks will drop from the compartment above you, put the mask on yourself first…” A great example.  We are of no help to ourselves or others if we are unable to function, incapacitated, or unconscious.

So, how do you plug into your Source of power?  How do you fill yourself up so that you can thrive? Below are ten self-care measures you can embrace. Start today, start with a baby step if you don’t yet have a self-care routine.

Some ways to fill yourself up are:

1.      Doing things that delight you.

2.      Unplugging from technology.

3.      Getting the rest you need.

4.      Acts of Devotion, connecting to your Source with a capital S.

5.      Eating nutritious foods.

6.      Staying hydrated.

7.      Filling your life with positive content and people.

8.      Getting out in Nature.

9.      Moving your body.

10.   Remove complaining, criticism, excuses, and blame from your life.

I am a contributing author in the soon to be released book "The Ultimate Guide to Self-Healing," Vol. 2.  I wrote about the transformative power of Affirmations and positivity if you'd like more ideas about self-care and positive steps you can take in your life, visit my free resource page.

The invitation is to focus on the wonder you see in your midst this week.  The miracle of life, the beauty of nature, the taste of a perfectly ripe peach or berry, the smell of a favorite treat, a newborn…whatever that wonder is for you, dear heart, enjoy and savor it.  Celebrate it with a heart full of love and gratitude.

Wonder

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week message for June 14 -20, 2020.

“Beloved, there is so much for you to behold in this world using your sense of childlike wonder.  Allow yourself the gift to savor the miracles which surround you.”

Yesterday, I led a class about Celebrating our Inner Child and it was glorious.  Such a well-timed escape to focus on the good memories of childhood for an hour.  We allowed the heaviness of the past few months to await us for another time and just delighted in the goodness which was healing medicine for us all.

We all have an inner child within, no matter what our age, accomplishments, credentials, or experiences.  Our inner child wants to explore the world with a sense of innocence and wild abandon.  Our inner child wants to be free to explore the gift of nature and delight in the simple pleasures of life.  Our inner child wants to live life with a glorious sense of curiosity and wonder.

Amen and so it is.
Love, Janette

Journey: Card of the Week Message - Love Notes from The Divine Inspirational Card Deck

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week for June 7 - 13, 2020

AA Card of the Week (16).jpg

Journey

Welcome to your “Love Notes from The Divine” Card of the Week message for June 7 - 13, 2020.

“Enjoy each step along the way beloved one.  There is so much goodness and grace along your blessed path. Enjoy the now, the gift of the present moment.  Savor it, beloved as the gift or present that it is.”

This is a beautiful message of enjoying the journey, the gift of this moment, the only moment we have right now.  Savoring the gift of the now.  What is it that you have to feel grateful for, dear heart?

Your invitation is to think about and write down 3 things that at this moment you consider a blessing.

Right now, there is so much angst swirling around us, that this reminder to consider what we each have to be grateful for is a beautiful invitation to consider.

Take a big beautiful deep breath and release…ah, that feels so good.  Repeat as needed throughout the day, dear heart.

We are reminded that our life, our journey here, and now, is a precious gift that we can savor in love, appreciation, and gratitude.

Thank you, God, for the gift of my life.  I am so grateful.
Blessings of love, joy, and peace.
